Dee and Tom were home for 2 weeks. The time went WAY too fast. I don't think we got near enough family group time together, but we take what we can in only 2 weeks.

Paul and I got in some dog sitting time :) and Ollie had a love/hate relationship with the dog.

It was really nice having them here for even a short time.

The Gergen boys enjoyed having them there and got in some ping pong games and Wii time.

I will be heading down to FL to visit with them (with my 2 sisters) in Sept. I am looking forward to pool time, reading time, and maybe a trip to the beach...Ahhhh!

August 2009: It is the middle of Summer and I don't know where it went. I have spent a good deal of time trying to keep the rodent population(gophers) in check. They have dug into some flower beds and 2 of them have paid with their lives :-), don't mess with my flowers!

Paul took a "road trip" out West to visit (and surprise) our Son Bob for his 50Th birthday party and to welcome the newest member of the family on the occasion of her "dedication ceremony".

He had a good time driving out, stopping in Deadwood for some "wild West" casino action and enjoying his Grand and Great Grand kids. Bob turns 50 in Nov. and was definitely surprised by the party in his honor. Paul got home yesterday and is enjoying his recliner as we speak.

While he was gone I tore apart closets and did a bunch of rearranging and cleaning that is best done without a husband underfoot :-)

I have also been busy working and working out at the Y. In between times I get to deliver and/or pick up some of the Gergen crew from their various sports, mostly swimming. The swimming is over and football will begin soon, then they will be in school. As I said, I don't know where the summer went.

Daughter Dee and her husband Tom & the Dog of the family, Benzie, will be here for 2 weeks on Aug. 9Th and then in Sept. I will head to Florida to visit them with my 2 Sisters.

In no time it will be time to plan for the Winter trip to Panama City Beach.
